Can I Legally Import A Whale Steak From Norway To The United States? If So, Where Can I Order One?
I’d like to order one over the internet, but Amazon.com gourmet foods doesn’t carry them. Since they can hunt whales in Norway, I want to try some. I was recently in Norway on vacation, and I’d rather not have to go the whole way back to Norway just to try one.

No, you can not. Norway foes not allow export of whale meat, exept for buissnesses with a valid export license. To get a valid licence the purpose of the export has to be scientific study of the samples, and a valid import license in the recieving country.
I don’t know the answer, but it is a cool thing to try to pursue. Good luck - hope it’s tasty!
The whale population is dwindling, with negative implications for the ocean’s ecosystem, so I wouldn’t consider eating whale meat the same as Angus steak.
I bet that’s a freakin’ huge steak!
I don’t believe so, because it has to go through customs and I don’t believe that you can do that with food.
