In class we’re doing this zine or zeen whatever its called and our topic is food. My job is to research some gourmet foods for the zine (zeen) but I don’t know some. I’m not asking for sites with info, just a list (maybe like 3-5 gourmet foods) that I could research on Google. I think Beef Wellington is one but honestly I don’t know any more (I’m not exactly a food guru.)

Beef Wellington is a classic…..good call….also check Coq Au Vin….a classic French chicken dish….Coquille St. Jacques…..Veal Saltimbocca….Chicken Chasseur….those are some classic gourmet dishes that go way back…..we prepared them in culinary school….and in some of the country clubs i have worked as well….any more questions let me know…..good luck!!
Sounds like these people have got you covered!…………….
Do it about Babka! It’s a yummy desert bread. A lot of different cultures have their own types too…I work for a bakery and it’s gotten a lot of local attention because its so good. If not that you could always do something simple…like chocolate or bagels.
You already have some good answers, I will try to give you some more. Let’s see:
Escargot
Frogs Legs
Oysters Rockefeller
Sole Bonne Femme
Crepes Suzette
Coq au Vin
Good luck on the project.
Search Foie Gras.
Chateaubriand
Standing crown rib Roast
Pate de foi gras
Duck l’orange
I’m not sure whether you are asking about ingredients or dishes, but these could include:
Ingredients:
Truffles (of the fungal variety…)
Snails
Shark Fin (illegal, but still gourmet)
Food/Dishes:
Chocolate such as Vahrlona… and truffles too
Peking Duck
Shark Fin Soup
Are you looking for gourmet dishes or individual gourmet foods that you would use for gourmet dishes?
For dishes: Lobster Thermidor, Chateaubriand, Yes - Beef Wellington is a good one,
For individual foods, I would say foie gras, white or black truffles, Beluga caviar…
