I Want To Eat Right Butam Tired Of Food Fads & Dont Want To Go All Organic. What’s Real Food? Recipes Welcome!

I don’t have the time to cook gourmet dinners and I don’t have the money to buy fancy designer organic food but I also don’t want to eat cheese wiz or hungry man dinners. I’m not so concerned about losing weight but I would like to feel healthy and satisfied. I just want some good tasting, healthy and wholesome real food. Help! What is real food today? YEAH!!!!!!!!! You are off to a great start!
Cooking healthy can be very simple.
Fresh fruit and veggies should be a staple in your fridge.
Whole grains (oatmeal, whole wheat cous cous, spelt)
    Olive oil
Low fat, fat free dairy (sour cream, milk, cheeses, etc)
    Herbs and spices
Check Cooking Light for a wide variety of recipes. They typically use ingredients that are in your pantry and they are simple to make.

When you shop read labels! Look for what types of fats, sugars, protiens in the food. Processed foods are easy to fix, but not good for you. If it rolls out of a box…..don’t buy it. There are a variety of ways to eat healthy without spending a fortune. Don’t fall for the readymade or fad items. Use fresh or frozen foods without a lot of preservatives and processed flours, sugars and fats. Cooking the good old fashioned way! There are lots of substitutes you can use in place of refined sugar, bleached flours and hydrogenated shortnings and margarines…olive oil, stevia, whole wheat flours are some to start with.
