What Is The Difference Between Gourmet Food From Ethnic Cuisine?

Gourmet food that is of the highest quality and flavour, prepared well and presented in an artful manner, food which made to look beautiful as well as taste wonderful.
Ethnic food is a dish which is particular to a country or region, for example in India it would be curry, in the UK it would be fish and chips.
Gourmet-Ethnic food would probably be anything French as everybody seems to think that French cuisine is the best in the world!!!!

Gourmet food is food that is made with the best possible ingredients. It may be hard to come by, therefore costing more than other food (i.e. black truffles). Ethnic food is the food that has originated and/or is common in a certain country or region (i.e. Mediterranean food, Chinese food, Italian food, etc.).

Ethnic food is based on country/nationality, etc. Gourmet food is food that is above average in taste, style, ingredients, looks, etc. Gourmet foods can certainly be ethnic in origin.

besides the basics — gourmet is fancy/hip/overly time consuming and ethinic is cultural….
gourmet is over prices, ethnic is normally priced
gourmet has smaller portions, ethnic is healthily portioned
people who cook gourmet are trained at the CIA, people who cook ethnic are trained by granma!
