Why Is Gourmet Food Always So Small And Expensive?

Because it isn’t meant to stuff you.
The whole idea is for it to be superb, small portion, best ingredients( that’s why the cost factor) and let you linger for more on another day.

Calamari, truffles, scallops, etc. Is there a happy medium between casseroles, and these? What do you make for your kids that is a little gourmet, but doesn’t involve sea urchins?
